Terms of Service

Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to NoteLyn AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our marketing website at www.notelyn.com, our web app at app.notelyn.com, and the NoteLyn AI mobile application (together, the "Services"), operated by NoteLyn AI ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with them, do not use the Services.

2. Use of the Services

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use account-based note-taking features. If you are under 18, you may use those features only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2.2 User Account

The marketing website can be browsed without an account. Creating, managing, or purchasing access to your notes in the web app requires an account. Shared-note links can be viewed without signing in. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for the activity on your account.

2.3 AI-Assisted Notes and Materials

The Services are designed to assist with note-taking, knowledge management, study, and work. While we strive to provide accurate summaries and materials, you should review important information against its source and not rely solely on AI-generated content for academic assignments, examinations, or professional decisions.

3. Intellectual Property

3.1 Service Content

The content, features, and functionality of the Services are owned by NoteLyn AI and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

3.2 User-Generated Content

You retain full and exclusive ownership of all content you create using the Services, including notes, summaries, flashcards, and any other materials. We do not claim any rights or ownership over your content. We store and process your content solely to provide the Services to you — including cloud sync, AI-powered note generation, and learning features. We will never use your content for training AI models, analytics, marketing, or share it with third parties for any purpose beyond delivering the service to you.

3.3 AI-Generated Solutions

All AI-generated content (summaries, flashcards, quizzes, study materials) produced through your use of the Services belongs entirely to you. We do not claim any copyright, ownership, or license over this content. These materials assist with note-taking, study, and work, and their accuracy is not guaranteed.

3.4 Sharing Your Content

Shared-note links in the web app open a read-only view without requiring the recipient to sign in. Anyone who obtains a link can view the available shared content and may copy or forward it. Only share content you are entitled to share, and review the note and its source material for personal or confidential information before sharing. Deleting content from the Services does not remove copies already saved by recipients.

4. Data Collection and Usage

We process account, service usage, purchase, and limited analytics information to operate the Services. Website and web app analytics may use cookies and local storage to recognize a browser and associate activity with your account after sign-in. For information about the data collected, service providers, and shared notes, see our Privacy Policy.

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Services:

• In any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations

• To submit inappropriate or illegal content

• To engage in academic dishonesty, including cheating on tests or exams

• To impersonate or attempt to impersonate others

• To interfere with other users' use of the Services

• For any fraudulent or unlawful purpose

6. Payment and Subscriptions

6.1 Purchase Channels

Mobile-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Web-app subscriptions and credit-pack purchases are processed through PayPal. Available plans, prices, currencies, billing periods, and any trial or introductory offer are shown before you approve a purchase. The payment channel used for a purchase determines where you manage it.

6.2 Subscription Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew according to the billing terms shown at checkout unless renewal is canceled. PayPal subscriptions can be canceled using the web app subscription controls or the automatic-payment settings in your PayPal account. App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be managed through the respective store. Canceling renewal stops future renewals; it does not itself refund a completed payment, and access normally continues until the current paid period ends. Before deleting your account, cancel any active subscription through its purchase channel.

6.3 Credits

Some features consume credits. Plan credits are issued or reset according to the credit cycle shown for your plan, which may differ from its billing cycle; unused plan credits may expire at a reset. Purchased credits do not expire. Your current balance, credit usage, and credit history are available in the web app. Review the displayed credit requirement or estimate before starting a credit-consuming feature.

6.4 Refund Requests

For Apple App Store or Google Play purchases, use the respective store's refund-request process. For web purchases processed through PayPal, contact support@notelyn.com with your account email and purchase or transaction reference so we can review the request. Refund handling depends on the purchase terms, the payment channel, and applicable consumer rights. Subscription cancellation and a refund request are separate actions. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services in accordance with these Terms, including for a breach of the Terms. You may stop using the Services or delete your account through the available account settings. Manage and cancel active subscriptions through their purchase channel before deleting your account; stopping use or uninstalling the mobile app is not a substitute for canceling renewal.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall NoteLyn AI be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the Services.

9. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms and their revision date will be posted on this page, and we may also notify you through the Services. Your continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to any additional notice or consent required by applicable law.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through:

• Amicable negotiation between the parties

• Mediation

• Arbitration in Hong Kong, if the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation or mediation
