Recording FAQ
Do you support multiple speakers?
Everyone in the recording is transcribed, but speakers aren't labeled separately.
Can I lock the screen while recording?
In the browser, keep the recording tab open until you finish. If a recording is interrupted, it's saved on your device so you can still turn it into a note.
How long can a recording be?
Currently up to 150 minutes. Recording stops automatically at the limit, and you can create the note from what was captured. Record at least 30 seconds for a useful note.
Does the browser show a live transcript?
No. The live transcript is in the mobile app. In the browser, the full transcript appears in the note after you finish.
What happens if my browser closes mid-recording?
The recording made so far is saved on your device. The next time you open the record dialog, NoteLyn offers to continue and create the note from it.
Is recording free?
Yes, you can start for free in your browser or in the mobile app. Some features need a subscription: podcasts, for example, are a Pro feature and use credits based on their length, charged only if generation succeeds.
